Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Testheon (testheon.com), operated by Mayur Nilekar, Pune, India, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this site. Testheon is a QA and software testing blog. There is no e-commerce, no paid membership, and no user account system beyond the ability to leave comments.
By using this site you accept the practices described below. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
Information We Collect
Testheon does not require you to create an account or submit personal information to read any content. Information may be collected in the following limited ways:
- Comments: If you leave a comment, WordPress collects your name, email address, and website URL (if provided). Your email address is never displayed publicly; it is used only to notify you of replies and to generate your Gravatar avatar.
- Analytics data (planned): When Google Analytics is enabled, it will collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited, time on page, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (country/city level). Your full IP address is not stored.
- Cookies: See the Cookies section below for full details.
- Server logs: Like all web servers, Hostinger’s infrastructure logs basic request data (IP address, browser, referring URL, timestamp). These logs are used for security monitoring and are not linked to your identity.
Testheon does not sell, rent, or trade any personal information.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Testheon uses the following categories of cookies:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
WordPress sets a small number of session cookies to support the comment form (for example, to remember your name and email between visits so you do not have to re-enter them). These cookies do not track browsing activity across other sites.
Analytics Cookies (Planned)
When Google Analytics is active, it will set cookies (including _ga and _gid) to distinguish visitors and track how pages are used in aggregate. This data is anonymous and helps improve the content on this site. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising Cookies (Planned)
When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites across the web. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.
Managing Cookies
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies will not prevent you from reading content on this site, but it may affect comment functionality. For guidance on managing cookies in your browser, visit allaboutcookies.org.
Analytics & Advertising
Testheon plans to use Google Analytics to understand how readers find and use the site. All data collected is aggregated and anonymous — no individual visitor is identified. IP anonymisation will be enabled.
Testheon also plans to display advertisements through Google AdSense. AdSense uses the DoubleClick cookie to show ads relevant to your interests. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised ads by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised to your browsing history.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use sites that use its services, see How Google uses data from sites that use Google services.
